Foreigner Café started in downtown San Mateo with family recipes, a small team, and a simple belief: a café can be more than coffee — it can be where strangers become neighbors.
The community showed up
When COVID nearly closed us in 2020, our guests didn't disappear — they ordered takeout, told their friends, and kept us alive. That loyalty is baked into everything we do.
